I was not expecting the book to have such a personal touch but it really struck a cord in my heart. While this book was about the story of a young girl searching for the meaning of events in her life, my own life was in contrast to hers as I never searched but somehow found meaning looking back from maturity. The end result was much the same in both, a life that could have been very different had divine intervention not played its role. Both Jessie and I now share a common denominator in extraordinary parallel lives. We both have a wonderful life, caring spouses and strong faith. We also shared many places of experience. I was born and raised in the San Francisco area where much of the book storyline takes place. I have also traveled to most of the other locations mentioned in the book. It was very easy to identify with.Product details

Jessie, In Search of Belonging...what an incredible book. The history of a girl, with all the twists and turns of a mystery novel, and yet filled with pathos; filled with sorrow, joy, humility, desperation and redemption. Jessie, a girl of great courage, who has seemingly, the chips of life stacked against her, endures with God's great mercy and grace, and is adorned with a storybook new beginning. This book, although filled with much hardship, is filled with hope, not just for this world but for all of eternity. Jessie, In Search of Belonging, will bring the reader to the place of realization that no matter how hard our lives may be, there is hope of a silver lining, a new beginning. I absolutely recommend this book. A real page turner; a great, life changing read!
